Raw Q aka Dj Beau is a true lifelong native of St Marks Place in NYC’s East Village. He grew up as a child digging through his father’s vast record collection and with his ear to the NYC radio waves. His love of music continuously grew, which led to him working in various record stores, and eventually procuring a set of Technics 1200’s and a mixer. In 1994 he put out his first Dj mixtape in the local NYC shops. Its popularity in the underground led to the start of his pro dj career getting booked to spin raves, clubs, and bars, performing at some of NYC’s most legendary hotspots such as: The Roxy, The Limelight, The Tunnel, The Octagon, The Shelter, and others. His original music productions on multiple international labels, and eclectic dj sets have enabled him to perform around the globe while holding down regular dj residencies in his home in NYC for 25+ years. When not under quarantine, you can catch him spinning vinyl sets at his weekly Donuts @ Big Bar, his monthly spot at Fat Buddha, and on the regs at Mad Tropical in Bushwick.
