Seshat Yon’shea

Seshat Yon’shea Walker is a multi-disciplinary creative and founder of The aSHE Fund as well as The aSHE XCHNGE. The aSHE Fund supports and funds Black Women Creatives in the DMV, and The aSHE XCHNGE highlights Black women creatives and connects them to resources, opportunities and brands. Walker has over 12 years of experience creating projects that support communities through art, strategy, and impact, and has designed creative strategy and freshly innovative projects for the Smithsonian, The Halcyon Arts Lab, The Kennedy Center, DC Public Library, Washington Performing Arts Society, The DC Commission of the Arts & Humanities, WACIF, DSLBD and more. She is a 2019 Arts & Humanities Fellowship Grant recipient, and the creator and co-producer of BeatsNBeans project. She is also the owner, maker and head salvager of FND ART. In 2013, Seshat earned her master’s degree in design management from Savannah College of Art & Design. Her written work has been featured in various publications and journals, and she is developing a staged production, an episodic series and docu-series.
